DIRT, LLC was running the business on a Microsoft 365 Family plan and personal consumer email addresses, with company files scattered across a personal OneDrive. We provisioned a new Microsoft 365 Business tenant on dirtllc.net, helped acquire the domain and tightened up the GoDaddy account (MFA, transfer lock, recovery details and WHOIS privacy), then configured Exchange Online DNS records for MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and Autodiscover.

Licensing is right-sized: two Business Premium seats for the owners and an F3 Frontline seat for the field, plus a shared company inbox and a pay-as-you-go High Volume Email account for the office scanner. The security baseline enforces MFA through Microsoft Authenticator with number matching, enables Security Defaults, deploys baseline Conditional Access policies in report-only mode, and turns on Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 and Defender for Business.

Mail from the legacy personal accounts forwards to the new mailboxes, Outlook desktop and mobile were set up over screen-share, and a SharePoint team site now acts as the company file server with folder-level permissions, synced into File Explorer through OneDrive Files On-Demand. The whole engagement was delivered remotely on a fixed fee with no on-site visit.
